There will be no toddlers for the next two weeks due to the Easter Break. Toddlers will resume on Tuesday 17th of April.

Summer Trip

This years summer trip is to Almond Valley on Monday 21st of May. A sign up sheet has been put up on the notice board for all those who wish to go. Toddlers will pay the entrance fee for all members, older children are welcome to come along at a small fee. We had a great day out at Almond Valley last year as there is plenty to do to keep the little ones entertained.

The coach will leave Lenzie Public Halls at 9:30am and return back at 2:15pm. If you wish to make your own way there you will need to arrive at the same time as the coach (10:15am) to get in free.

Technical issues

The website has recently been the victim of repeated hacking, with the pages being deleted every few days. We are working to resolve this issue and have updated the software in the hope that it will prevent any future attacks.

We apologise if you tried to access our pages whilst this was going on. We are not 100% sure how the hackers got through in the first place, but we are keeping our fingers crossed that things are now back to normal.

We will be having Laura Thompson (www.ltphotography.co.uk) our regular photographer on Tuesday 1st to Friday 4th November 2011. Sittings will be on a first come basis, these are free you just pay for the prints which can be viewed on-line before purchase.

Grown Ups’ Night Out/ AGM

Really good to see you all after our summer break, and welcome to all our new members and new arrivals!

We are having a grown-ups’ night out (and AGM combined) on Sunday 4th September at 8:00pm. It will be in the private dining room in the Ashoka (Cowgate, Kirkintilloch). Apart from the obvious business of the AGM, (which won’t take long – promise!) it should be a great night out and a chance to chat without being interrupted by dirty nappies and fights over the little tikes cars.

The evening will only cost £5.00 – TODDLERS IS HOPING TO FUND THE REST. You’ll just need to buy your drinks on the night.

The meal will consist of nibbles, followed by a platter of starters, then your choice from the Alla Carte Menu with rice/naan. A £5.00 deposit is required before Friday 2^nd Sept.

If you want to come, please sign up on the sheet on the noticeboard at toddlers. Places are limited to 25.

Summer Trip Itinerary and Details

The group’s summer trip is next Monday, 6th June. Please be at the bus stop opposite Lenzie Primary at 9:15. We will be leaving at 9:30. Don’t be late – WE WILL NOT WAIT FOR YOU.

If you are taking the car, either follow the coach in convoy, or meet the coach at Almond Valley around 10:15 (Post code EH54 7AR, www.almondvalley.co.uk ). Please make yourself known to Jo on arrival at Almond Valley. If you do not enter with the rest of the group, you will not be able to get in free.

Lenzie Parent and Toddlers will pay the entrance fee (including soft play) for one adult and all member children; additional children £3.50 – please pay this to Jo. Due to the high numbers wishing to go, regrettably Almond Valley is not able to offer us a tractor ride.

Bring a packed lunch (we have booked the covered picnic area) or use the centre’s cafe.

Please be back at the coach at 13:15, we will be leaving at 13:30, arriving back in Lenzie at 14:15 (all being well with the traffic!)

Grown Ups’ Night Out

A table has been booked at Rasoi (the new Indian Restaurant at Millersneuk Shopping Centre) under the name of ‘Lenzie Toddlers’ at 8:00pm on Friday 20th May for those of you who wrote your name on the list. The food’s supposed to be great, so here’s to a great night!

This year’s summer trip will be to Almond Valley. If you haven’t been before there’s plenty to do for all ages; farm animals, trampolines, indoor soft play, tractor rides, playgrounds and much more! Lenzie Toddlers will pay your entrance fee. Non member children (ie older siblings) can attend for just £3.50. Bring a packed lunch or if you prefer, there is a cafe at the Centre.

The coach will leave Lenzie Public Halls at 9:30am and return back at 2:15pm. If you wish to make your own way there you will need to arrive at the same time as the coach (c. 10:15am) to get in free.

Please write your name on the list on the noticeboard at toddlers if interested.
